![]() I got two more sets replaced under warranty before I finally started going through their inventory until I found a set under a cheaper brand name marked "made in mexico". They were warped terribly within a few months. A few years back I put new rotors on the front of my wife's car. I've used the same brand of brake rotors for 20 years because I have a discount at the local auto parts store from back when I used to have a commercial account. The fact is every old US brand that shifts manufacturing to China, sees an immediate decrease in the quality of it's goods.Įven in my own profession, whenever we get a rash of things we have to warranty, and we start looking into why it happened, it's almost always related to a vendor trying to save a buck by switching to Chinese bearings, or motors, etc. (save the Android vs Iphone debates please. Very few companies are as fanatical about quality control as Apple is. ![]() The mods are somewhat flexible with the rules as long as the OP explains in the comments.
